WAB-5 HF "mobile" antenna

A multi-band 3/8 fitting antenna designed for use static-mobile (it would really be too big/heavy to drive down the road with it on).
It comes with a selection of screw-on "coils" and you can use any 4 out of the 5 available at any one time, giving a choice of any 4 out of these 5 bands: 80m/40m/20m/15m/10m. The WAB-5 mobile antenna designed to provide automatic band switching covers 10, 15, 20, 40 or 80m with four bands being available at any one time. VSWR at resonance is typically 1.5:1 or less. Power rating is 250W PEP.
The antenna is about 2.43m long and weighs about 1.36kg. It is terminated in a 3/8in thread. Similar performance and total h eight to the single whips but with the advantage of auto-switching. Top section carries either 40 or 80m resonators. Requires a 3/8in mount but this model is not suitable for gutter mounting. A heavy duty bumper or body type mount is recommended. Do not mount this antenna on a van type vehicle where the resonators are in close proximity to the metal body, as the antenna will not tune properly. The WABR-10, WABR-15 and WABR-20 resonators are factory tuned to the phone bands and should require no further tuning.
Minor frequency adjustments can be made by moving the vinyl cap in or out. The WABR-40 and WABR-80 resonators are easily tuned by extending or retracting the whip.
