Mobile Antennas (Amateur)

Mobile antennas for use on 2m, 70cm and HF bands.

Most of these antennas are supplied as a "whip only" and require a suitable mount and coax.

In most cases the antenna are a SO239 type fitting, a wide variety of mounts to suit these can be found in the "Mounts & Bases" department.

A popular high gain dual-band mobile antenna. Features a "fold-over" knuckle and SO239 fitting.
This is our highest gain dual-band mobile antenna and gives excellent performance - but it is quite large (over 5ft) and features 3 coils.
(please note the current picture cuts off the antenna before the second coil)

A complete dual-band antenna with magnetic mount.  Both the mount and the whip are black, the antenna having an open coil.  Mag mount approx 5cm diameter with rubber boot.
Fitted with a BNC plug.

A complete dual-band antenna with micro magnetic mount.  Both the mount and the whip are black, the antenna having an open coil.  Mag mount approx 2.5cm diameter.
The whip is very thin making it almost invisible on the car, combined with the micro size magnetic mount and the use of RG174 mini coax (less than 1/2 the diameter of RG58).
Fitted with a BNC plug.

A range of mobile antennas with 3/8 fitting for various HF bands. Each antenna covers only one band and is pre-tuned for the telephony range of that band.
The bandwidth on some of these antennas is quite narrow (especially those on lower frequncies) and may not cover the whole of that band without either retuning or the use of an atu.
Each antenna consists of a black fibreglass base coil (approx 1.3m) with a stainless steel whip in the top (lenght varies from 1.2m to 1.4m)

A multi-band 3/8 fitting antenna designed for use static-mobile (it would really be too big/heavy to drive down the road with it on).
It comes with a selection of screw-on "coils" and you can use any 4 out of the 5 available at any one time, giving a choice of any 4 out of these 5 bands: 80m/40m/20m/15m/10m.
