We stock a wide variety of antennas from this well known UK manufacturer.
Modulator Long Coil Style Antenna
Thunderpole's version of the popular Modulator long coil antenna, which was one of the most popular antennas ever made.
This "copy" seems to be just as good quality as the original, so since this is cheaper (and better presented) we now stock this one instead of the original Modulator.
Works very well, the only disadvantage is the size of it.
Mini Thunderpole Voyager
A shorter version of the Voyager
Although it will not work as well as larger antennas, this is one of the best performing small antenna.
A reduced size "Half Breed" style antenna, but with the advantage of easy swr adjustment (preset marks for UK & EU) and a high quality tapered stainless steel whip.
Will not work as well as the longer version, but if you need a small antenna this is a good choice because it is one of the easiest to swr.
Sold under different brand names as the Scarlet Warrior, Red Warrior, Red Thunder etc.
Looking like an over-sized Modulator (Voyager) antenna, with a large red coil approx 21" long, this antenna is Thunderpole's largest and has performance to match.
Thunderpoles version of the classic antenna from Thorobred.
A "Half Breed" style antenna, but with the advantage of easy swr adjustment (preset marks for UK & EU) and a high quality tapered stainless steel whip.
The most popular antenna available - especially with truckers and farmers.
Sold under a variety of names (Orbitor, Springer, Stinger etc) but Thunderpole claim to be the original manufacturers.
These are the most flexible and hardwearing antenna ever made, the large open coil acting like a big spring.
This is the original Thiunderpole version, available in balck or chrome, and supplied carded.
Cheap versions are available for under £10, but those have a straight (not tapered) poor quality steel whip, which "flops about" a lot because of it's weight and is easily bent out of shape.
An "economy" version of the Orbitor - the only differences being that this is supplied in a bag (rather than carded) and the connections on the coil are very slightly different. The cheaper packaging and bulk buying allow us to offer this £3 cheaper than the carded version.
Not to be confused with cheaper copies which have poorer quality whips and coils. This is a genuine Thunderpole antenna.
Available in a wide range of colours.
Mini Orbitor
A smaller version of the Thunderpole Orbitor - for use where the original one is too long.
Will not work quite as well as the full size version, but this is one of the best performing small antennas available.
Very flexible. Very popular on tractors and 4x4.
This is the original Thunderpole version, supplied on a card.
Also available complete on a mag mount for £22.95 (in black or chrome).
Mini Orbitor (supplied in bag)
A smaller version of the Thunderpole Orbitor - for use where the original one is too long
This is an economy version of the original Trucker-80. It is still made by Thunderpole but the coil is not quite as heavy duty as the original and it is supplied loose in a bag rather than carded. For heavy use I would recommend the original is used.
A centre-loaded version of the Oribitor.
Because it is centre-loaded this will give higher performance than the standard Orbitor, but is obvioulsy not as flexible.
The bottom section of the antenna is quite thick and solid and will not bend - so it is not suitable if you are likely to be hitting the antenna low down.
A centre-loaded version of the Trucker-80.
Because it is centre-loaded this will give higher performance than the standard Trucker-80, but is obvioulsy not as flexible.
A British made copy of the Wilson 2000 Trucker.
A good quality copy of the Wilson antenna which costs over twice as much!!
Will give excellent performance, but not suitable for locations where you might be hitting it alot because the bottom section is solid and will not give.
Because of the weight of this antenna it must be used on a stong mount. It is not suitable for use on a mag mount.
Similar to the famous Firestik antenna but thinner and more flexible.
These antennas are continuously wound and so give you a lot of antenna in a little space - which means maximum performance.
The swr is adjustable at the tip.
Althought they are somewhat flexible (you can bend them almost double) you would not want to be bashing them about too much.
Not suitable for use on a mag mount.
FireStik Copy
A British made copy of the famous Firestik.
The swr is adjustable with a screw under the top cap. This is the same as the Firestik II.
These antenna are not flexible at all and so should not be used if you are likely to catch them on low trees etc.
A new compact high performance antenna from Thunderpole - only 1.15m long.
Semi-stiff base load plus an open-coil centre-load.
An on-glass CB antenna, designed to fit on the windscreen of a car, looking like a larger version of a mobile phone antenna.
The slim loaded whip (approx 70cm long) sticks on the outside of the window, and the coax connection sticks on the inside - no drilling is required.
Performance will be very poor compared to a proper fixed antenna - I would expect 2-4 miles typically.
Ideal if you only require transmission over short distances and need something discreet.
