Inverters are used to obtain a 240V AC supply from a 12V or 24V DC source - basically so that you can use equipment designed for use at home while you are out on the road.

Very popular for both trucks and caravans - but there are also many other uses.

You must ensure when choosing a model that it is large enough to run the appliance. Check on the appliance how many Watts it requires, and then preferably double it to be sure!

They come with a proper 13A 3-pin socket fitted and two leads, one with a cig lighter plug and the other with crocodile clips.

Built-in variable speed cooling fan.

This 12V version requires 30A on full load - so must be wired direct to the battery.  You can get up to 150W from it if used from a cig lighter socket.
