President CB Radios

President have been making CB radios for longer than I can remember - they were certainly making them a long time before CB became legal in the UK (back in 1981).

They have always had a reputation for both quality and performance, and the new range continue this tradition. Unfortunately this is reflected in their higher price - but like many things, you get what you pay for!

All these models are "multi-standard" and are designed for use in all European countries. When you first turn the radio on, you select what country you are using it in and the radio will automatically select the legal bands and modes for that country!  In the UK they will cover all 80 legal channels.

All these models now come with a President 5 Year Warranty so they must be confident of their quality! (but unfortunately President insist they must be returned to them for work under this warranty).

Possibly the best quality compact radio available for UK CB

With features such as an analogue signal meter, LED channel display, and rotary channel selector - this radio has the looks of an older generation but inside it uses the latest PCB technology.

One nice feature of this radio is the fact that it always returns to ch.19 when you turn it on - which is a lot more use than ch.9 that most radios default to.

The radio is the now common "multi standard" - so it is legal in most EU countries - simply select what country you are in and the radio will preset itself to cover all the legal frequencies for that country (including the use of AM & FM where permitted).

It's always nice to see something different - and this President looks different to any other radio currently available!

The front mounted speaker and large clear LCD display make it ideal for use in a vehicle with a spare "DIN" size hole.

Looks and feels more like a professional 2-way radio than a CB!

A very high quality radio - but unfortunately this is reflected in the price!

A legal SSB radio??

The new top-of-range mobile from President is a multi-standard radio designed for use in all EU countries, it is the first of this type of radio that also has SSB on it for countries that permit SSB use.

When used in the UK it is a fully featured 80 channel CB, operating on FM only, on both the UK 40 channels and the EU 40 channels. Output power is variable up to a maximum of 4W.

When used outside the UK it is a capable of up to 400 channels and operates on AM, FM, USB and LSB. I am sure you can find more information about this elsewhere on the internet.

As well as all the features you would expect from a top-of-range radio, this one features President's ASC automatic squelch and also a built in VOX (voice operation) which works either through the radios own mic or using an optional "mobile phone style" mic plugged into the rear of the radio.
