e know that at least three manufacturers are launching new CB's this year!  Unfortunately not only are we sworn to secrecy but none of the radios are ready to be revealed in this newsletter.
Hopefully by the time the next newsletter goes to press, we will have details on at least 3 new radios (if not more!). However if you can't wait that long we will have details on our website as soon as the new radios arrive.
Most of the new radios coming out this year will be multi-standard. This means that they will be capable of operating on the legal channels of most European countries and will even work on AM in countries which permit that. Although this is no great advantage for most users (unless you plan on using it abroad) it does mean that manufacturers are likely to make more radios (and hopefully at a lower price) because they have all Europe to sell them in rather than just the UK.

any of you have attended out outdoor clearance sales over the last few years - where we clear out all the junk and oddments that have accumulated over the year.
Unfortunately we will
not be having one this year. This is due to both a lack of available time and to allow us to build up a bigger & better selection to offer you next time we have one.
Hopefully in 2006 it will be back - bigger and better.  We will obviously publish the date nearer the time.
As an alternative to our usual outdoor sale, we may try to sort some of the equipment out into lots and put it on Ebay. This will obviously be dependant upon finding the time to sort the stuff out. This will also give some of our more distant customers a chance to take part.
Details on our website or next newsletter.

nfortunately 2005 will also see the last of two other makes of CB in the UK.
Cobra have already stopped making CB's for the UK market, and we have now sold out of the popular Cobra 29 & 75 and only have a few of the Cobra 25 left in stock. We have a limited supply of "graded" stock, details of which is elsewhere in this newsletter.
Maycom are also only planning to make one last batch of their popular radios - the Maycom EM27 and the Maycom AH27 HandHeld (possibly the best handheld CB we have ever had!).
Luckily this final production should hopefully see us through to the end of this year, and you can be sure that we will be having extra in stock so that we can continue to offer them for as long as possible.
We are particularly sorry to see Maycom leave the UK CB market because they were one of the few manufacturers who genuinely seemed to want to improve their products - with small but significant improvements made at regular intervals to their radios.
Since our pricelist was printed we have also sold out of
Astatic Teardrop microphones and President Lincoln 10m radios. Neither of these look likely to be available again.
Our stocks of the various Magnum radios - the
DeltaForce, OmegaForce and S9 are also running low so it is best to check with us what is available before ordering.
