oesn't time fly! It seems like only yesterday that I was preparing the last newsletter ready to send out with our new 2005 Pricelist, yet 3 months have passed and we are now hopefully approaching the Summer and good weather to come. Although we have been very busy during the past 3 months, there is very little to report with regards to changes to CB or new products. I suppose we should really expect this - it has now been almost 25 years since we first got legal CB in this country so there's very little that we haven't already seen. It's always nice to see new users coming onto CB, and this year we have again seen quite a wide variety of users coming in to the shop to buy a new radio. Many have never used a CB before in their life, some are even too young to remember the heyday of CB, others are returning to give it another try after sometimes as long as 20 years! CB will obviously never regain it's mass popularity of the early 80's, but I am pleased to still be able to report that it is alive & kicking. Different areas of the country vary greatly in it's usage, but overall there are still many 1000's of new radios being sold across the country every year. It is nice to see that we even have a national retailer now with CB's in their shops - Maplins - who although they can not offer anything like the range nor the service of your local CB shop or specialist retailer, they are promoting CB to a new sector of the public and so may help to expand the use of CB and guarantee it's future. Our next newsletter should be out at the beginning of August, by which time I hope to have several new radios to tell you about. Until then I hope you manage to have some fun in the sun and continue to find a use for and enjoy CB for whatever you use it for. Thank you for your custom over the past year (or years) and I hope we can be of help to you again in the future.
