This Newsletter consists of 10 pages, including 5 pages of Special Offers.

elcome to our first newsletter of 2005. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy New Year and hope that your Christmas was as good as you hoped for. We certainly enjoyed the break, and are now looking forwards to the challenges of the new year.
Although Christmas is not usually a particularly busy time for CB sales, we were encouraged by the surprising number of new radios which we sold for Christmas. Hopefully we will find at least a few new users on the airwaves this year.
Unfortunately we were unable to send out a Christmas edition of our newsletter because we were simply too busy! It is the first time we have ever missed sending out an end of year newsletter - either in November or December.
2005 promises to be quite an eventful year, with at least
four new CB's expected. It is a long time since we saw manufacturers showing such an interest in the CB market. Let's hope that this continues and encourages more new users.
Whatever happens in 2005 we will be here to bring you details, and if it is worth having you can be sure we will have it in stock!

ogether with this newsletter you should have received a copy of our new 2005 Price List - if not, please ask and we will be pleased to send you one. Additionally if you know anyone else who you think would like a copy, we would be pleased to send them one - just let us have their address.
The layout of the new pricelist is identical to last years, there are not even any new sections added or old ones removed. Hopefully this will make it easy for you to find whatever you are looking for.
Unfortunately there are some prices that have increased, some significantly this time, but we have also managed once again to reduce a few as well! However by far the vast majority (I would think well over 95%) remain exactly the same.
I believe that we continue to offer the largest selection of CB equipment available anywhere in the UK and I hope we can continue to help you.

fter the announcement of the consultation document by the RA in 2003, it looked like the end was coming for the original UK CB channels. However, 2 years later it is still unclear what will happen and when.
Last year the Radiocommunications Agency disappeared and OfCom took their place in regulating CB. Since then there has been no further mention of the removal of either the licence fee or the UK channels.
However, a few months ago, they announced a trial of "Community Radio" which would operate on some of the UK channels (more details later in this newsletter). They also implied that if this was successful, and if the "normal" CB'ers and the CAD users could co-exist on 27MHz, then the UK CB channels would remain available?
