n addition to normal parcel post (which usually takes 3-10 days) we can offer delivery by City Link carriers for the exceptionally low price of £6.95 - however large your order is. This is a lot cheaper than many companies charge (often anywhere £10 - £15) and is only available because we send so many parcels (phone them direct and you will be charged about £15 per parcel).
As a special offer, we can also offer carrier delivery on smaller items (up to the size of a radio) for only £6.50 instead of £6.95.
Although the delivery is described as "next day", and in 95% of cases the items are delivered next working day, there is no way that we can give a 100% guarantee that you will receive your order the next day. Vans do break down, accidents happen, roads get closed etc.
However there are a few things you can do to help ensure you get the best from our carrier delivery:
1. Remember you must be home for them to deliver! Do not choose delivery for a day when no one is at home to sign for it.
2. Order as early as possible. Orders received after 1pm may be too late (although we try our best to despatch all orders the same day).
3. If your order has not arrived by 4pm on the expected delivery day, let us know. We do not know that something has not been delivered until you tell us!
4. If there is anything "odd" about your address (which makes it hard to find) let us know at the time of ordering.
5. Remember that delivery is next working day. They only deliver Monday - Friday, it costs an extra £20 (at least) for Saturday delivery!!
6. If you want carrier delivery, make sure you tell us when ordering - even if you always have carrier delivery, there is no guarantee that we will remember that!!
For only £1.45 more than standard delivery for larger items (eg antennae) it is always worth upgrading to carrier delivery rather than standard. As well as the extra security and speed, your delivery can then be tracked all the way from us to you - which means that to date we have never lost a single parcel which has been sent.
