ogether with this newsletter you should have received our new 2006 pricelist - if not, please let us know and we will get one rushed out to you! And if you know of anyone else who would like a copy, all they have to do is ask.
In general there have been very few changes in the new list -
over 95% of the prices remain unchanged, and there are probably more prices reduced than increased this time! All the new radios that came out last year have been added and those no longer available removed, but overall not much has changed. We have left the format (and the order) the same as past lists, which will hopefully make it easier for you to find things.
We endeavour to keep all the items listed in our price list in stock, which is something few others do! We have ordered from many impressive catalogues in the past, and often only half of the items are available for immediate delivery!
Please bear in mind that we do only produce one pricelist per year, so although everything listed are currently stock items (and correctly priced) many things can change in the space of a year.

lthough most prices have stayed the same, and electronics in general have fallen in price, there have been some significant increases in prices of some raw materials.
In particular both steel & copper have jumped in price, resulting in quite large increases in the price of our wall brackets - unfortunately we have had to increase the prices of these accordingly.
Although the cost of coax has increased, we have been able to absorb most of these increases (especially when bought by the metre) but the price for some of the full rolls of coax have had to be increased. We have kept these to a minimum and the only major increase has been on RG213 which is increased from £65 for a 100m roll to £75.

he past year has seen some components & spares become very difficult to obtain - not surprising really when we are talking about components that were used in radios that are up to 25 years old!
This has not only resulted in big price increases (for example the popular
2SC1969 has recently doubled in price!) but we are now seeing some "fake" components offered for sale.
We have recently seen "
fake" 2SC2312 and 2SC1969 transistors and TA7205 audio IC's.
We will attempt to keep all the popular components in stock, despite the price increases, while there is still a demand and while we can still find any!  It's not only here that this is happening but also in the USA (and worldwide).
I apologise for the big price increases on some of the components over the past year (and no doubt more to come) - but it is really a case of us either paying a higher price for parts where we can find them, or not having them at all!

e now have the new 2006 editions of our Electronic Catalogue (price £1.95) and Communications Equipment Guide (price £3.95).
Both consist of almost 400 pages in full colour and are good reference guides even if you don't order anything from them!
Unfortunately due their weight, postage is £4 for either of them if ordered on their own.
