This Newsletter consists of 11 pages, including 6 pages of Special Offers

lthough it's a little late, I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and welcome you to our first newsletter of 2006. I hope you have had a good Christmas - however you spent it - and that it has not left you too much out of pocket!
Since we didn't have a Christmas newsletter, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your custom over the past year, without you we wouldn't be here! I hope we can serve you further in this coming year.
With the first month of 2006 now already gone, I am sure many New Year's resolutions have already been broken - but I hope that this year will bring you some if not all the things you hope for.
2005 certainly flew by for us, and it does not seem very long ago that I was sat here writing our first newsletter of 2005 ready to go out with the new price list. Where does all the time go?

or the last 20 years we have been sending out our free CB Newsletter every 3 months to keep our customers up to date with what we are doing and what is happening in the CB world. As far as I know we are the only UK company to have done this.
In the past we have sent these out to all customers who have ordered from us within the last year (it used to be 18 months!) but we now have too many new customers for this to be feasible. It is just too expensive in both time & postage costs.
So unfortunately after this issue we will only be sending them out to customers who have ordered from us within the
last few months.
However if you are not sure when you last ordered and wish to remain on our mailing list, all you have to do is
ask and you will be included in our mailings for at least the next 12 months!
          All completely free of charge!
You can also read our newsletter on our website, where it will appear before we even get chance to mail it out! We are also still compiling an email mailing list - if you would like adding to this please just send us your email address (preferably by email to doug@kcb.co.uk).

Last year saw more new CB radios appear in the UK than any year since 1982!  The only reason I can see for this is because many of the new radios being manufactured are "multi-standard" for use in all EU countries, rather than just the UK. This gives the manufacturers a much larger market and allows them to introduce new models.
In the past year or so we have seen 2 new radios from
Moonraker, 3 from Intek, 2 from tti, and 1 from Team (with apparently more coming from several of these manufacturers in 2006).
It is very nice to see manufacturers having the confidence to bring new models out, especially something "different" like the
Roadcom, but it does make me wonder whether there is enough demand for all these radio? We will see how many are still available in a year or two's time. You can be sure, whatever comes along we will have it in stock (if it's worth having!).
One  effect of this is that with the greater competition manufacturers have had to look again at their prices, in our new pricelist almost
every CB radio is reduced in price compared to last year!
